Sam and Sid fabrics and sizes

We offer two types of UV protective swimwear fabrics. The fabulous, soft cotton/lycra¨ is great for delicate skins; it feels like a really soft T-Shirt, but with a fantastic amount of stretch, making it perfect both in and out of the water.

Our nylon/lycra sunsuits are also a very high quality fabric, they offer the same amount of protection but are really fast drying. Please read the information carefully about fabric and available sizes for each design. We are also quite proud that all of our sunsuits and T-Shirts are printed and made in England.

Sizing guidelines and aftercare instructions

To establish the correct size for your child measure your child's height and chest. Height: From the top of the head to the ground without shoes in centimetres. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest.

*For smaller sizes i.e. under 2 years we advise that you measure the neck of your child, if you can! As babies do vary so much you may need to order a larger size. The suit is designed to fit snugly around the neck giving good protection to this area. Do remember that when you try the suit on your child it will probably take a little while to get used to the feeling of the high neck, my children did! But after leaving the zip slightly undone for a while they soon got used to it and now they don't even notice.

Washing

Our sunsuits are designed for use in and out of the water. They are all machine washable at 40 degrees. Each garment has been hand printed and finished to the highest quality; we strongly recommend that you follow all of the wash care advice stated clearly on the labelling enclosed with your garment.
